PB Paints is owned and operated by Philip Banks and was founded in 2010. Philip has been painting for almost 20 years, starting as an apprentice under Scott Kessler of Restoration Fine Arts (a New York based company specializing in historic wall finishes).

 

From this apprenticeship he gained invaluable knowledge and skills on proper prepping and painting techniques with various mediums.  He also learned the artisan craft of decorative finishes such as Venetian plaster and glazing to name a few.  Philip’s know-how is not limited to painting.  Over the years he has become proficient in high end wood finishing and refinishing, plaster finishes as well as skim coating and taping.  As a hobby he has also taken up carpentry and furniture making.

 

In 2010 Philip started PB Paints as a one man operation not knowing it would grow as it has. Thanks to an opportunity to paint model units in two of Brooklyn’s largest luxury condominium developments (The Edge & One Brooklyn Bridge Park) his word of mouth business has continued to grow.

Due to his attention to detail, meticulous work, incredibly high standards and communication his clients have continued to refer him on a repeated basis.
